Tapas with friends

After stumbling across this amazing tapas restaurant and bar in the Born, I totally recommend it as a place to go with a group of friends to share delicious Asturian-style tapas in a cosy, loft-style setting.

These kind of restaurants are great finds when you´re on a weekend break and I love the cool, yet welcoming decoration! Saying this, I do also really appreciate good food and the four tapas dishes we chose to share were unbelievably tasty!

Monkfish - fish and chips style!

Candles, the perfect setting and great
decoration ideas!

Llamber´s been open for nearly a year but with the rennovation of the Born market recently completed, it´s now easier to find. The "Pixin" fish and chips style was delicious (monk fish battered in crispy chips with a tartar type sauce) and the black rice with calamare is also highly recommended! The owner used to work in the famous El Bulli restaurant so the quality and standard is as expected.

If you just want a small bite to eat you can order half-rations and there´s also a more informal bar area at the front where you can perch and enjoy a small tapas and a glass of wine from their massive 100 bottle collection.

The other great thing about this restaurant is that the kitchen is open all day so you don´t have to stick to strict eating times and can pop in whenever you like.

If you´re out with friends then I think this is a great night; start here for drinks and tapas then head to the Passeig del Born for cocktails and lively bars.
